Applications are invited for the MBBS Course at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) for the academic year 2005. The application and prospectus can be obtained from the selected main Post Offices located in different parts the country or by post from the Officer-in-charge (Admission Cell), Armed Forces Medical College, Pune on payment of Rs 155/- by Bank Draft on any nationalized bank payable at Pune in favour of Commandant AFMC, Pune along with full postal address of the candidate on two separate slips from Jan 04, 2005. The last date for submission of the application is Feb 17, 2005. The written examination is scheduled to be held on May 01, 2005 and the interview of the candidates qualifying the written examination will be held in the month of June 2005.
Candidates must have passed XIIth standard examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing not less than 60 per cent marks in aggregate in the three science subjects taken together and not less than 50 per cent marks in each of the subjects. The applicants who are appearing for the qualifying examination upto Apr 30, 2005 may also apply for the test provisionally. The candidates must have attained the age of 17 years as on Dec 31, 2005, but must not have attained the age of 22 years. However candidates who have passed BSc or are appearing in the final examination can apply upto the age of 24 years as on Dec 31, 2005.
