Tourist arrivals in the country in November this year registered an increase of 25.5% over the arrivals in the corresponding period of 2003. Total arrivals upto the month were 2983453.
During January-November, 2004 foreign exchange earnings through tourist arrival also registered 33.2% increase over the earnings of corresponding period of last year. So far, this year tourism has fetched foreign exchange of Rs. 19562.02 crores. Monthwise arrivals and foreign exchange earnings are as follow:
