Lok Sabha

There has been no decline in the number of advertisements given by the Union Government through the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP). DAVP has qualified artists, well versed in advertising and has a Studio with Desk Top Publishing (DTP) facilities. Most of the advertisements released are designed and prepared in-house. However, Ministries/Departments are free to get their advertisements designed from outside and released through DAVP. The directorate endeavours to improve the advertisement designs, which is a continuous process. The sanctioned staff strength and those in position are 854 and 665, respectively.

This information was given in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
