The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for introduction of "The Right to Information Bill, 2004" in the current session of Parliament. It will be more progressive, participatory and meaningful than the earlier Act namely "The Freedom of Information Act, 2002".
The Cabinet also referred the Lok Pal Bill, 2004 to the Group of Ministers(GoM).
