The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that the infrastructure facilities like water supply, sewerage, power, road network etc., are already in place and are functional.
The position regarding connectivity of the Dwarka sub-city from three sides is as under:-
The target date for completion of Link Road connecting NH-8 with Dwarka sub-city along southern boundary of Indira Gandhi International Airport is March, 2005.
Construction of approach road connecting Delhi with Dwarka through Cantonment Area including flyover from Palam Railway Station to Dwarka Dwar is slated for completion by June, 2005.
In regard to covering of Palam drain between RD. 6184 to 3841 (approx. chainage) and construction of 45 mtrs. road as per standard cross section over it, one side of this road over the drain is to be completed by March, 2005 and the second carriageway is scheduled to be completed in March, 2006. The approach from Najafgarh Road is already available since long.
Presently only 3 Million Gallons per day (MGD) water supply for Dwarka city is being received against the requirement of about 6 MGD of water. However, supply of bulk treated water to Dwarka would increase on completion of Sonia Vihar Water Treatment Plant by Delhi Jal Board (DJB)
The DDA has reported that during the last one year the occupancy in Dwarka has increased. This is likely to go up steadily in coming years, on improvement in connectivity of the sub-city including the commissioning of Metro corridor.
