There is a proposal to establish a National Youth Centre and State Youth Centres with capital grants by the Centre during the Tenth Five Year Plan. A Draft Scheme is under consideration with the Planning Commission for giving ‘in-principle’ approval. These Centres will provide a platform where youths of the country can find all the facilities required for their self-expression, actualization and development of their overall personality.
This information was given by Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
