No team of experts has been engaged by Commonwealth Games Federation for Venue Appraisal for the 2010 event. However, Delhi Development Authority has engaged M/s. Event Knowledge Services (EKS) for Venue Reappraisal and the study team of EKS has submitted draft report. The draft report has been prepared by EKS study team which comprised of Mr. Craig McLatchey, CEO, EKS and Mr. John Baker. The draft report has suggested various options for clusterisation of sports venues and raised issues in respect of location of Games village. The draft report is being discussed with various stakeholders and a suitable decision will be taken on receipt of final report on the subject by EKS.
This information was given by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Shri Prithviraj Chavan in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
