The Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) under the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro & Rural Industries has undertaken various promotional activities in the North-Eastern Region. Under the Integrated Infrastructural Development Scheme (IIDS), two proposals, one each from the States of Assam and Tripura, were received in 2004-05.
Both the proposals have been approved and are under implementation. Another proposal from Nagaland has been received in July 2005 which is under examination.
This information was given by the Minister of Small Scale Industries and Agro & Rural Industries , Shri Mahabir Prasad in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
