Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) will organize a four-day Directors Certification Programme on Corporate Governance from August 5, 2005 to develop competency of whole time, independent, non-executives and potential directors of Public Enterprises. The apex body of Public Enterprises felt the need to develop a stream of competent Directors in the country to assume stewardship of business corporates on a globally competitive basis. This programme is being organized to achieve that objective.
Shri Sontosh Mohan Dev, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises will inaugurate it. The Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Shri Priyadarshi Thakur will deliver the Keynote address.
The Directors Certification Programme, being held in collaboration with the Academy of Corporate Governance, an affiliate of Commonwealth Association of Corporate Governance, has the support of the Department of Public Enterprises.
