The Department of Posts has denied the news item under the caption 'Postal Staff Strike' which appeared in some section of newspapers today, as factually incorrect. It was clarified by the Department that none of the Unions recognised or otherwise has given any notice for strike or for 'sit in strike'. The postal operations are going on smoothly throughout the country as usual.
