The General Secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist), Shri Prakash Karat has been included in the re-constituted National Integration Council (NIC). The President of Confederation of Indian Industries, Shri Y.C. Deveshwar has also been included in place of Shri Sunil Kant Munjal.
The General Secretary of National Federation of Indian Women, Ms. Annie Raja has been included in place of Ms. Sehba Farooqui.
The eminent public figure, Shri Mohd. Afzal @ Meem Afzal has been deleted from the re-constituted NIC.
The last National Integration Council was re-constituted in the month of February this year.
