Government of India proposes to set a National Judicial Council to receive complaints against Judges and conduct investigation into such complaints. The Council will also see whether the complaints are frivolous, vexatious or are not made in good faith.

The modalities for setting up the National Judicial Council are being worked out in consultation with stakeholders.

This information was given by the Minister of Law and Justice, Shri H. R. Bhardwaj in a written reply to the questions from Shri Jesudasu Seelam and Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy in the Rajya Sabha today.
