The Indian Olympic Association has entered into an agreement with the Chinese Olympic Committee for sport exchanges.
The Agreement signed on 1st July, 2005 envisages areas of exchange of – sportspersons, supporting personnel, information on sports, research studies, programmes related to sports medicine & sports science, equipment, organization of multi-sports games and technical information on the design and building of sports facilities.
In an effort to improve ties with other countries the Government has agreed in principle to sign “Programme of Cooperation in the field of Sports” with Cuba.
This information was given by the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Shri Printhviraj Chavan in a written reply today.
