Ministry of Railways has taken a decision to grant “Running Allowances” to the running staff as recommended by the Fifth Central Pay Commission. Revision has been carried out in the rates of kilometreage allowance, outstation (detention) allowance and trip allowance admissible to the running staff.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri R. Velu in written reply to a question raised by Dr. K.S. Manoj and Shri P. Karunakaran in Lok Sabha today.
