Foreign exchange earnings through tourism up to July this year has registered an increase of 22.9%. Total earnings during the period were Rs. 14547.88 crore and in Dollar terms 3284.88 million, up by 23.9%.
Tourist arrival in the country during January-July, 2005 also registered an increase of 16.9% over the arrival in corresponding period of 2004. Monthwise arrivals and earnings are as follows:
