Government have been taking a number of steps to promote the exports of pharmaceuticals, which inter-alia include assistance under the Marketing Development Assistance (MDA) Scheme to participate in Trade Delegations/Buyer Seller Meets and Exhibitions/Fairs abroad; opening of Showrooms/Warehouses, Publicity Campaign and Brand Promotion, Research and Product Development, Registration Charges for product registration aboard etc. under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme.
This information was given by the Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Steel, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha .
