The European Union in collaboration with Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee has selected Qutub Minar for improving its seismic resistance. They have proposed to perform non-destructive tests and install dynamic monitoring equipment at Qutub Minar in the next month.
The project will be funded by the EU-India Economic Cross Cultural Programme.
This Information was given by Minister of Information & Broadcasting and Culture, Shri S. Jaipal Reddy in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
