At the initiative of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved a project for computerization of District and Subordinate Courts in the country at a cost of Rs. 384.53 crore. An amount of Rs.103.05 crore has been released to National Informatic Centre (NIC) for the first phase of computerization of 3475 courts. The remaining courts will be covered in the next two years.
