CBI arrests three officials of DDA for bribe

The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested a Junior Engineer, a Supervisor and a Security Guard of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant.

The complainant alleged that the accused Junior Engineer had demanded a bribe of Rs. 20,000/- from him for dealing his illegally sealed premises. CBI laid a trap and the accused was caught red-handed while accepting Rs. 15,000/- from the complainant. His two other associates, a Supervisor and a Security Guard were also arrested in helping the accused in the alleged demand/acceptance of the bribe. A cash of Rs. 2.15 lakh (approx.) was recovered during the search at the residence of the Supervisor. Searches are still continuing on the residential premises of other two accused.

The arrested accused will be produced tomorrow before the designated court in Delhi.
