A Committee of senior officers in the Ministry of Defence has been constituted to consider restructuring/cadre review of the Armed Force Headquarters (AFHQ) Civil Services.
The terms of reference are as follows :-
a) To assess the magnitude of stagnation in all the grades of AFHQ Civil Service and AFHQ Clerical Service, vis-à-vis similarly recruited/placed officers of other services and suggest remedial measures.
b) To review the structure of AFHQ Civil Service and AFHQ Clerical Service keeping in view the various recommendations and demands of Association of AFHQ Services.
The Committee is in the process of finalizing its recommendations and the report is likely to be submitted shortly.
This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee in a written reply to Shri Karnendu Bhattacharjee in Rajya Sabha today.
