The King of Bhutan, His Majesty Jigme Singye Wangchuk had a cordial and fruitful meeting with the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, yesterday evening, during his ongoing visit to India.
The King complimented the Prime Minister on his recent successful visit to the United States. The Prime Minister extended his greetings to the King and the people of Bhutan. The two leaders expressed satisfaction on bilateral relations and on the successful working of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. The Prime Minister emphasized India's strong commitment to the economic development of Bhutan and the welfare of the people of Bhutan.
