During the year 2004-05, the Ministry of Tourism has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 2827.69 lakhs for the following projects for the State of Andhra Pradesh:
Development of Bhadrachalam, Khammam as tourist destination. Celebration of Kuchipudi festival. Celebration of Lumbini festival. Southern India Tourist Train feasibility report. Sea cruise between Visakhapatnam-Port Blair-Chennai-Feasibility report. Taramati Baradari Cultural Complex-feasibility report. Development of village Shri Kalahasti, Dist. Chittor. Integrated Development of Kurnool Tourism Circuit. Integrated Development of tourism Circuit-Hyderabad-Nalgonda-Khammam. Destination Development of Bhavani Island, Krishna District. Taramati Baradari Cultural Complex. Rural Tourism Village Pochampalli. Rural Tourism Village Shri Kalahasti. Rural Tourism Village Chinchinada. Rural Tourism Development of Purttaparthi. This was stated by the Minister of State for Tourism, Smt. Renuka Chowdhury in a reply to a question by Smt. Vanga Geetha in Rajya Sabha here today. She said that the implementation/execution of the projects is the responsibility of the State Government.
