A cancer awareness camp was inaugurated at the newly created Oncology Centre of Army’s Base Hospital in Delhi Cantonment today. The formal inauguration was done by Mrs Deepa Bhardwaj, President, Army Wives Welfare Organization, Delhi region.
The camp is being conducted under supervision of oncologists and gyaenacologists of the Army. An exhibition has been organized to spread cancer awareness.
A video show on self-examination for breast cancer and a film on cervical cancer are also being screened. The camp, which will be on till 13 Aug 05, drew an encouraging response from Army personnel and their families on its inaugural day.
