Government has appointed Shri Anil Choudhary, IPS 1969 (AGMUT), as Secretary (Internal Security) in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Before he joined the Ministry as Special Security (Internal Security) last year, he had a long stint in the Intelligence Bureau where he was Special Director. He has vast experience in counter-terrorism in the field in Jammu & Kashmir and in the North East. He has also served as Minister, Community Affairs in the Embassy of India, Washington D.C.
