The Government of India has appointed the following additional experts to the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB).
Shri M.K.Rasgotra, former Foreign Secretary has been appointed as the new Convenor in place of Shri S.K.Lamba, IFS (Retd.), who has been appointed as Special Envoy in the rank of Secretary to the Government of India, in the Prime Ministers Office.
The new Members appointed are Shri K.S.Rao, IAS (Retd.), former Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim; Shri V.K.Jain, IPS (Retd.), former Special Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs; Shri N.S.Sisodia, IAS (Retd.), former Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Prof. Roddam Narasimha, Scientist, Chairman (Engineering Mechanics Unit), Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
The Convenor and the Members have been appointed for a term of two years.
NSAB is a multi-disciplinary body comprising persons of eminence and forms an important sub-structure of the National Security Council.
