The National Literacy Mission has invited entries for NLM—UNESCO Award 2005 to encourage the institutions working in the field of literacy and adult education. The award includes cash price of Rs. 50,000/- and a citation.
Entries are invited from Jan Shikshan Santhans, State Resource Centres and Universities, which have done outstanding work n the field of literacy, adult and continuing education and extension including research and innovation (innovative training, materials and practices). Assessment will be for the work done in the last three years i.e. from 2002-03 to 2004-05. A Committee will make the selection. Entries will be accepted by Directorate of Adult Education upto August 17, 2005.
The award was instituted in collaboration with UNESCO –New Delhi in the year 1998. The award will be given to the winners in the national level function to be organized at Vigyan Bhawan on 8th September 2005.
Interested Institutions may send their detailed proposals to Director, Directorate of Adult Education, Block-D Jamnagar House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110011 clearly indicating on the top of the cover Entry for NLM-UNESCO Award. Support materials should accompany the proposal.
