Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, has expressed profound grief on the death of Shri Vishnu Kant Shastri former Governor of Uttar Pradesh.
In his message, the Vice President said that Shri Shastri was a great teacher, thinker and statesman. Throughout his life, he remained deeply committed to the promotion of Indian culture and literature. For him, politics was a means to ameliorate the condition of the weaker and the deprived section. He will always be remembered for his humility and dedication to nationalist cause.
