The production of Phosphatic fertilizers covered under the concession scheme was 120.05 lakh MT during the year 2004-05 as against the total production of 117.23 lakh MT of these fertilizers during the year 2003-04. The import of Phosphoric acid is free. The Phosphatic fertilizers manufacturers are procuring phosphoric acid from the international market at the price and terms and conditions negotiated by them with the international suppliers
This information was given today in the Lok Sabha by the Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Steel, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan in a written reply to a question by Shri Subodh Mohite.
