The Chairman, Railway Board, Shri R.K. Singh has complimented the staff and officers of the Railway Board for the all-round progress of the Indian Railways. Stating that right from the safety which has shown marked improvement, there has also been significant gains in the freight earnings. All this, he said, was due to combined and dedicated efforts of staff and officers.
The Chairman was speaking on the occasion of the 50th Railway Week celebrations, organized by the Railway Board here today. On this occasion, the Chairman also distributed certificates and cash awards to staff and officers of the Railway Board for maintaining high standard of efficiency, prompt disposal of cases and punctuality. Artists and outstanding sports persons of Railway Board who excelled in the Inter Ministry and All India Civil Services Competitions were also felicitated with cash awards, appreciation letter and souvenirs on this occasion.
Members of the Railway Board and other senior officers and staff were present on the occasion.
