The Minister for Human Resource Development, Shri Arjun Singh has directed the Commissioners of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to be responsive to the legitimate grievances of teachers and other employees working in those organizations. He has asked the Commissioners and other senior officials to be available at Regional Headquarters on previously notified dates for any employee to approach them with personal problems. Shri Singh has directed that a calendar for this purpose may be prepared and suitably publicized so that teachers and employees are able to meet senior officials from the headquarters. Record of all cases of these regional meetings as well as other meetings for redressal of grievances should be maintained and a monthly summary should be put up to the Minister for Human Resource Development for his information.
