CONSULTANT RAIDED BY CBI FOR PROVIDING FORGED CERTIFICATES TO PESTICIDE MANUFACTURES.

The CBI registered a case against a Consultant of Delhi who is engaged in arranging facilities to different firms all over the country manufacturing pesticides and insecticides for obtaining registration certificates of their products for use on various crops and the Agency carried out searches at the premises of the Consultant (a private person) at Jaitpur (Badarpur), Delhi till late evening yesterday. During searches a number of incriminating documents and computer print-outs have been recovered. Besides, the hard disk of the computer on which the forged documents involved in the case were printed has also been seized from the premises of the firm. The forged certificates were prepared by the Consultant in the name of the office of Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIB&RC) of the Union Ministry of Agriculture, Faridabad.

In the FIR, it has been alleged that the consultant has been preparing and supplying false and forged certificates to different firms enabling them to obtain registration certificates from the Union Ministry of Agriculture for their product.

The case has been registered u/s 120-B IPC r/w 420/511, 468 & 471 and investigation is in progress.
