Total coal production of Coal India Limited (CIL), a public sector unit of the Coal Ministry is proposed to go up from a level of 306.36 million tonnes (MT) in 2003-04 to 323.18 MT in 2004-05 and 341.05 MT in 2005-06. State-wise detail of coal production in CIL is given below :
