The Ministry of Human Resource Development has invited applications for the scholarships offered by the Government of Portugal for the academic year 2005-2006. The scholarships will be awarded to Indian nationals residing in India for the following categories : (i) one scholarship of nine months duration for postgraduate studies/research in the field of education. (ii) Two Research scholarships to post graduates in Portuguese Language and culture. (iii) Annual scholarship (8/9 months) to a teacher of Portuguese Language and culture at the university or secondary school level to attend a teacher’s training courses on Portuguese a foreign language, and (iv) Scholarships, of eight months duration, for pursuing Annual course in Portuguese Language and culture to the students enrolled in the course of Portuguese in Indian Universities.
