In New Delhi, India today, it has been reported that one, Sohela Ansari, has been divorced by her husband, Aftab, while he was dosing. Apparently, the word "Talaq", which means divorce, was uttered 3 times during the man's slumber.
In accordance with Islam law, this constitutes a legal, binding divorce. The couple, who has been married 13 years, with three children, have been told to split, and cannot remarry for 100 days.
To add insult to injury, the now divorced wife must sleep with another man, and be divorced again to be able to remarry her original husband. The couple is outraged and refused to obey the law and were then directed to seek counseling.
