Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood superstar, has taken ill again. Bachchan resumed shooting last Monday after spending weeks in the hospital and many weeks recuperating.
Bachchan experienced severe pains in his abdomen on Saturday after shooting 27 scenes in three days for the film 'Ganga'. This is a Bhojpuri film being produced by Deepak Sawant, Amitabh's make-up man of three decades.
Amitabh is working for free in this movie and apparently stretched himself to shoot at such a rapid pace against the advice of his doctors.
Bachchan was shooting on various sets in Yashraj Studios on Saturday, shooting simultaneously for Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and an ad for Reid & Taylor. Soon he felt an acute pain in his abdomen. As per media reports at around 4.30 pm, Amitabh went into his green room and called his family physician since the pain became unbearable.
The doctor asked him to go back home and take complete bed rest. Bachchan’s had fever and mild abdominal pain since Saturday morning and was reportedly taking long breaks between shots.
Sources said over exertion after this break from work, may have been the cause.
