Raj Thackeray has decided not to have Balasaheb Thackeray photograph in his campaign after Thackeray publicly taunted him. Thackeray had alleged that Raj was creating confusion in the minds of the masses by using his photograph in banners which wrongly created an impression that Raj was enjoying his blessings. "If you are that much devoted to me, come back," Thackeray told his nephew.
Refusing to return and seeking his blessings Raj denied that there was any question of creating confusion in the minds of Sainiks by putting up the Sena supremo's pictures at his meetings.
He has decided not to display his uncle’s photos at public meetings but has expressed his reverence towards his uncle and said that he would always occupy an important place in his heart.
Addressing a select group of journalists at his residence here on Tuesday, Raj said he would honour his uncle's wishes. "It is a matter of respect. I will not do so now as per his wishes. I will remove all his photos but he will remain in my heart", Raj said.
