Six arrested in Goregaon firing case

Mumbai Police have arrested six persons in connection with tire recent firing case in Goregaon western suburb of the metropolis in which two persons were injured, reports UNI.

Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Tukaram Chavan told mediapersons here on Tuesday that Avinash and Suresh Ghadi had an old rivalry following which the former had allegedly made an attempt to murder Ghadi.

Later, Ghadi hired two contract killers - Prakash Mishra and Parsuram Gupta -- for killing Avinash, The duo fired four rounds at Avinash and his friend Harjeet on January 16, in which both sustained injuries.

The ACP said during investigation into the matter, police came across some more names allegedly involved in the case following which they arrested Prakash, Parsuram, Suresh, Salim Shaikh, Sahe-brao Barne and Pramod Dube on Monday.
