One Lopita Hota, singer by profession, was recently
robbed by her own driver..
The 25-year-old driver had been driving her car since
four months. He had allegedly been waiting for a chance
to rob her. One day, taking a chance, he robbed the
keys of the house from her bag and made a duplicate
pair from a key maker at Yari Road.
He robbed ornaments along with cash amounting to Rs.59,000.
Lopita had lodged a complaint regarding the same in
the Versova police station. After enquiry, the police
arrested her driver on December 26 and recovered Rs.
13,000 cash, four rings and one Gold chain. Lopita is
staying with her husband in Sahkar Kalyan Complex, Yari
Road and has two children.
PSI Ashok More of Versova is investigating the case
under the guidance of Senior PI Vijay Sonawne. A case
has been registered under Section 381 and Deepak is
under a one-week remand.
