Inspector's house robbed

ANDHERI - The house of Deputy Superintendent of Police posted with the state CID, Raksha Mahrav was robbed. A gold chain, mobile phone and cash worth Rs. 48,000 was stolen. The house is located in the police quarters Andheri Station (E) near Agarkar chowk.

When the incident occurred, Mahrav was away at the gymnasium and so was her husband. The thieves broke open the lock of the house to enter. According to sources, there is no provision to appoint security guards in the vicinity of police residences and the police also do not want to appoint private guards.

Sr PI of the Andheri police station Arvind Mahabadi is investigating the case.
