Expelled BJP leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief
Minister Uma Bharti would announce the formation of
a new political party after 14th January in Ayodhya.
''We are discussing the issue of forming a new outfit
with all like-minded political leaders and parties along
with some social groups before taking any decision,''
said former Union Minister Prahlad Patel, also a close
confidant of the firebrand former BJP leader.
Talking to mediapersons, Patel, who was expelled from
BJP alongwith Bharti said the announcement of the new
political outfit would be made after 14th January when
the Ram-Roti Yatra of the former CM reaches Ayodhya.
Claiming that the yatra had drawn huge crowd in the
Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh, Patel said leaders
of several political parties have offered support to
this yatra.
Commenting on the recent resignation of BJP general
secretary Sanjay Joshi over a video tape controversy,
he said an indepth probe should be done to expose the
conspiracy. ''BJP lacks courage in going for any probe
to punish the real culprits,'' he added.
Patel, in-charge of the Bhopal to Ayodhya Yatra, made
it clear that Bharti still enjoyed highest popularity
among the leaders in MP and her expulsion from the BJP
would have adverse impact for the party in that state.
