Mumbai: The BMC has also initiated precautionary measures, Municipal Commissioner Johnny Joseph said.
The Deonar slaughterhouse has been directed to maintain a surveillance of all poultry products entering the metropolis. The BMC has started round-the-clock surveillance by veterinary doctors and deployed four veterinary doctors at each octroi nakas.
