Ratan Tata has finally broken his silence on the Singur issue. In an interview to a TV news channel, Tata said that apart from politics, his business competitors were also responsible for the growing trouble in West Bengal.

Ratan Tata said that there was absolutely no question of the Tatas pulling out of West Bengal and taking the project to another state. He also said that he would not bow to any pressure or external threat.

The health of Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee has reportedly deteriorated. She had to be put on Oxygen after complaining of respiratory distress.

The NDA is expected to meet on Wednesday at Atal Bihari Vajpayee's residence to finalise future plan of action with Trinamool against giving away farmland for factories.
