Mumbai: Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla-led team (which comprises Mr. Vivek Jain, Mr. Champakalal Zaveri , Dr. Shashi Chand Jain and Mr. Shivlal Daga) won the required majority of five seats, by topping the list of nine elected candidates at the annual General Body Meeting held here for the Committee Elections of RWITC.
Dr. Vijay Mallya managed to finish sixth and his panel got only four seats.
Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla was elected as the Chairman of Stewards of the Club and the other Chairman of the Managing Committee and Marketing Committee will be decided on Sunday.
The nine elected members of the committee: Dr. Cyrus S. Poonawalla, Mr. Vivek S. Jain, Mr. Champaklal Zaveri, Dr. Shashi Chand Jain, Mr. Shivalal Daga, Dr. Vijay Mallya, Mr. Shyam Ruia, Mr. K.N. Dhunjibhoy and Mr. Vijay Shirke.
Following are the Board Of Appeal Members: Mr. Byram N. Jeejeebhoy (Chairman), Mr. D.N. Adenwalla , Mr. Dinesh M. Thacker and Mr. Dilip P. Goculdas.
