If you're worth one crore, you're much richer than Sonia Gandhi, UPA President, considered the most powerful person in India today.
Sonia Gandhi declared her assets while filing the nomination as per the guidelines of the election commission. Sonia Gandhi doesn't even own a car. She has in cash an amount of Rs 20,000. Her ancestral house in her birth country, Italy is worth Rs.13 lakh. Sonia Gandhi's jewellery is worth Rs. 10.49 lakh and silverware owned by her, a total of 88 kg, has a value of Rs 11.17 lakh.
Sonia Gandhi has lent Rs 5,04,394 to her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The Congress president has Rs 85,338 in her savings bank account in UCO and Rs 20 lakh in fixed deposit in the same bank. Sonia has Rs.12 lakh in RBI bonds and Rs 52,800 with UTI.
She owns ten shares of Maruti Technical Services Pvt Ltd and 500 shares of Western India Tanneries, the value of which was not quoted in the declaration.
