Mumbai: Bollywood music director Nadeem (of Nadeem Shravan) who has settled in London after being accused of Gulshan Kumar murder and so many others like Dawood Ibrahim, Anees Ibrahim, Iqbal Mirchi, Chhota Rajan and Chhota Shakeel have escaped to havens like Malaysia, Dubai and Pakistan.
Can Salman Khan, released on a personal bond of Rs 2 lakh and two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each do the same?
Nadeem continues to compose music from London and even used internet to compose along with partner Sharavan. Salman can do the same and shoot for his films in the country of his choice.
Will he?
Parinda asked Former I P Officer turned advocate Y.P. Singh for his opinion. Says Singh, “Salman Khan is not likely to run away. He would be well aware that, at a later stage, the sentence will be much diluted. Why should he run away, leaving everything here?”
At Parinda, we disagree. Salman has already been sentenced to one year, in one of the cases. In this case, the sentence is five years rigorous imprisonment. In the case of unlicensed gun, the sentence can be as much as 7 years. Then there is hit and run case that resulted in the death of one person and injuries to 4 others.
The temptation to run away can always be there.
