The Jodhpur Sessions Court will hear Bollywood actor Salman Khan's bail plea and suspension of five years imprisonment for killing an endangered chinkara even as the actor has spent three nights at the Jodhpur Central Jail.
Salman's lawyers have filed a 44-page application challenging the lower court verdict.
Meanwhile, the actor has already spent three nights at the Jodhpur Central Jail.
The District and Sessions court admitted his appeal on Wednesday but Magistrate Surana said hearings on both appeals would be heard on Thursday.
Jodhpur Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit was to hear Salman's case where he has been booked but since, the case was not heard.
The hearing in the case under the Indian Arms Act in Luni area has been fixed for May as witness Mangi Lal kept away. Legal experts say under the Wildlife Protection Act, for a person who indulges in such crimes twice, a maximum of six year term can be fixed for the accused.
