Mumbai: Arun Gawli gave the mahurat-clap for the film of the same name Gawli, written and produced by Kiran Jain, will be directed by Madhuri Gaikwad. Police delayed the muhurat as prior permission was not taken to shoot at Dagdi Chawl. Arun Gawli, locally known as Daddy, was sore. He said that this was his house and he didn't need police permission to shoot in his own house.
The film is not biographical. Animal lovers will be happy to know that Gawli, the film, is against jeev-hatya. It is the story of a milkman and how he fights with the people who are illegally involved in the killing of animals.It will be made in Hindi and Marathi.
As often happens in the industry, Kiran is still working on the script and will go on the floors in a couple of months. The casting too has yet to be done.
