Sanjay Kumar Gupta presentation SUHAAG (Bhojpuri) is the story of Durga (Rinku Ghosh), who fights goondas to save her husband Shankar (Krishna Abhishek). Shankar is a honest and brave police officer, who is the nemesis of goondas of the area. The criminals Nagina Singh, Shamsher Singh and a corrupt DSP Dubey attack him by deceit and he becomes physically handicapped. The citizens now inspire Durgaa to join the police force. All her efforts to combat the criminals are in vain. Eventually, she dons the get-up of Goddess Durga at a temple and kills the criminals.

The film is a remake of Rekha-Rajnikant starrer 'Phool Bane Angaarey'. It has been adapted cleverly in Bhojpuri, keeping intact, the traditional base. There are also various unconventional and unpredictable twists and turns. The emotional and action scenes are treated quite ably. The romantic angle is also good.

Production values are good. Technically, of high order. The script is interesting. Music is melodious. Cinematography is eye-pleasing. Performancewise, Rinku Ghosh is excellent. Krishna Abhishek does a fair job and suits the role. Rest of the cast fill the bill.

Directorially, a polished product and Ravi Sinha proves that he is a maker of mettle. Released this week in Bihar, Jharkhand, Nepal, Punjab and Mumbai with bumper response.
