Suhel Khan (John Abraham) and Jai Kapoor (Arshad Warsi) are Indian television journalists who have landed in Afghanistan post Tali ban era. They are in search of a new scoop. They want to find Talibans who are still alive. Along the way they meet Khyber (Hanif Hum Ghum) a proud Afgan, Jessica Beckam (Arsenio), an American photo journalist and Imran Khan Afridi (Shahid Salman) a Talibansoldier who is actually a Pakistani armyman. On their journey the four of them have to face turbulent times.

Dirqector Kabir Khan has had this experience of doing a documentary film post 9/11 in Afghanistan. And it has helped him while shooting for 'Kabul Express'. The film has most authentic look to it. Characters also look realistic. Though it's a serious subject, the director has succeeded in filming it in a light manner. He must be complimented for that.Characters also look real. His takings are praiseworthy. It looks like any body's story who have experienced pre and post Taliban era in Afghanistan. However the film has an intellectual look to it. Treatment is such that it won't go well with masses. At times the film looks like a docudrama. There is ample Pakistan bashing in the film, that might create a controversy and might help the film.

Production values are top class.Technically very good. Script Is like a documentary. Dialogue are good.Cinematography is the highpoint of the film. Action is very realistic. Background score is very effective.Performancewise John Abraham is competent. ArshadWarsi is natural.Jessica Bekam is efficient. Hanif Hum Ghum is brilliant and Imran Khan Afridi leaves an Impact.Directorially Kabir Khan shows flair for technical brilliance. At theBox-office, it's a film for a certain section of cities and certain cinema halls.
