Dr. Suraj Ralhan (Shiney Ahuja) is shy, workaholic by nature. His wife is in coma for couple of years. He meets Kria (Sushmita Sen) who is a famous rock star. She is outspoken, impulsive and obsessive by nature. There is nothing called impossible In her dictionary. She has adopted a boy Dhruv (Julian Burkhardt). But this fun loving, tough lady breaks down when she realises that there is a hole in Dhruv's heart. With each passing day Kria gets desperate and now she has got some destructive plans in her mind to save Dhruv and she wants Rihan to support her In this dangerous mission.

Tanuja Chandra has directed some reasonably good films In the past, be it DUSHMAN, SANGHARSH and SUR. She is surely a talented lady. But with ZINDAGGI ROCKS she has surely missed the bus. Here media giant Anurradha Prasad (producer), Tanuja Chandra (director), Sushmita Sen (actress) have teamed up. And one surely expected Interesting results from them. However one comes out of the cinema hall dejected. It happened with Sushmita Sen in CHINGARI where she had teamed up with Kalpana Lajmi and the end result was very poor. There is this problem with Sushmita, despite all her talent most of the time she is given inconsistent performance. At times she underplays the character or goes over the top. And it's happenlrig film after film.
No wonder then that she has hardly succeeded In striking a chord with masses. And the result Is that in a career spanning over a decade hardly a solO heroine film of hers has enjoyed big success at the box office. Though there are some tender moments in the film.

They are in minority. Script is not convincing enough. Then talking of rock star, there is no such concept in India about lady rock stars. Well this concept may work In Hollywood where rockstars like Madonna and Jennifer Lopez have enjoyed success in films too. But here the very concept doesn't exist. These sort of films do need brilliant music but on this front too the film falls short. In the end the only saving grace of the film remains that it has restrained performance by Shiney Ahuja.

Production values are very good.
Technically fair. Script Unconvincing.
Dialogue good at places.
Musically below expectation effort.
Camerawork good.
Performancewise as said Sushmita Sen is inconsistent, some times good, sometimes not up to the mark.
Film after film Shlney Ahuja Is proving to be a very matured performer. Julian Is loveable. Ravl Gosain okay. Moushumi Chatterjee Is good. Seema Biswas and Kim Sharma don't get much scope. Directorlally below expectations effort by Tanuja Chandra.

At the box office: It will fail to make an Impact.
